Just in case you need further evidence that The Verulam Arms is the most dog friendly pub of all the dog friendly pubs in St Albans, here’s part 2 of our Pub Dogs of The Verulam Arms series.
This is Ziggy. He’s a cavapoo – a cross between a Cavalier King Charles spaniel and a poodle. Legend has it that King Charles II himself decreed that all his spaniels were to be permitted to enter any premises in the country. But Ziggy needs no royal decree: all dogs are welcome here.
This is DeDe, who seems to be some sort of greyhound. Greyhounds were traditionally used to chase down small animals like rabbits. When they’re not running at breakneck speed, they clearly know how to kick back and relax in our colourful pub garden.
This is Eric, proving that you don’t need to be human to enjoy a tasty bite at The Verulam Arms. Wild food for man’s best friend.
