Our Sunday roasts are the best in town. There you go, we said it. We could go on about the quality of our slow-roasted joints for hours, but here’s a lesser-known reason that we’re the number one Sunday roast destination in St Albans: our Bloody Marys.
What makes our Bloody Mary so incredible? Here are some proud foragers wielding the not-so-secret ingredient.
Wild horseradish. We pull up horseradish’s gnarly roots from sandy soils, clean and peel them and steep them in vodka. This gives the vodka a fiery kick, which makes it perfect for a Sunday lunch time, especially if one over indulged the night before. Miracle cure for hangovers. Not that we know anything about those.
